Murty's Bar

With the modern-look Hamlet Court Hotel we have been careful not to lose sight of the old. In a nod to its heritage Murty`s Bar has been so named after Murty O`Neill, one of the founder members of the O`Neill group and an integral part of the Johnstownbridge heritage.  Murty`s Bar was the informal and then formal name given to his licensed premises.

Past meets present at this convivial hostelry, which welcomes long-time locals and guest visitors alike.  Bar manager Tony and his staff have held court here for many years and relish in the quirky mix of old and new faces while the hearty tones of live music abound.

Murty`s Bar is renowned not only for its hospitality and comfort but benefiting from the Hotels` world-class chefs and locally sourced products, is also home to one of the better bar food menus available. Lunch is served daily - Monday through to Saturday from 12.30pm to 2.30pm.

Also each evening, from Monday through to Sunday 3.30pm to 8pm, Sunday 4.30pm - 7.30pm the Bar A La Carte menu is available to tantalise the taste buds. Featuring Specialty dishes like Murty`s Mixed Grill, to a mouth watering Fillet Steak to name but a few…..
