Best Wedding Venue Award

Presented by RTE`s Caroline Morahan, wedding bible, Weddings Irish Styles Annual Awards lauded The Hamlet Court Hotel with the Best Wedding Venue Award in 2005

Jacinta O`Brien, Editor of Weddings Irish Style, noted, "These new awards recognise excellence within the increasingly sophisticated Irish weddings industry."

In a novel twist, the organisers short listed finalists and then left the judging of the awards to members of the public who attended a series of fashion shows held in Dublin, Athlone and Cork during October, and to real brides and grooms who used the services of the finalists over the past year.

The organisers, Weddings Irish Style and Arnott`s Department Store took the opportunity to use the voting procedures to conduct research on the wedding industry in Ireland.

Winners on the night included:

Best Wedding Couturier: Ro Molloy, Phibsboro, Dublin 7
Best Salon: Scarlett Bridal, Ennis, Co. Clare
Best New Salon: Contemporary Bride, Shinrone, Co. Offaly
Best Service to the Wedding Industy: Heffernans Travel, Cork
Best Wedding Venue: The Hamlet Court, Enfield Co. Meath
Hall of Fame: Special Day (Bridal manufacturer/design) Dublin.
